Operation Wildlife falcon

Operation Wildlife presents “Dayshift”, Wed, July 1, 11:00am or 1:00pm*

This event is on July 1st, 2015 at 11:00am

Open to the public but space is limited.

Two programs offered, 11:00am or 1:00pm (NOTE: Instead of our normal time of 2 pm, our program will be at 1pm.)

Volunteers from Operation Wildlife in Linwood, KS will present the program “Dayshift” featuring 5 different LIVE hawks and falcons.  Learn about their hunting habits and unique characteristics.

Wacky Wednesday: SUPER Science Part 1, June 17, 11am or 2pm

Grades K-6th – Registration Required – Program is FULL

It is going to be a SUPER day on June 17; actually, a SUPER Science day!  There will be hands on stations with fun activities using magnets, water, pennies, marshmallows and uncooked spaghetti.  Spaghetti??  Sign up for either the 11:00am  or  2:00pm program.

Read to the dogs

Paws to Listen – Read to a Dog, 1st Mon. 6:30-7:30 and 2nd Sun. 1:30-2:30

Dogs are great listeners! That is why we have invited the wonderful dogs from the Leavenworth Human Animal Bond group (and their human helpers) to come to the library this summer. They will be here the 1st Mondays from 6:30-7:30 and 2nd Sundays 1:30-2:30.
So come to the library, grab a book and READ to a dog!
