T.A.L.K. (Talk About Literature in Kansas) – Sponsored by the Kansas Humanities Council. A program for every Kansan who loves to read and discuss good books.

It’s time to start our next series of books in the Book TALK program.  We will be reading four books in our fall series, Today’s Mysteries. The modern mystery includes spy thrillers, police procedurals, and psychological cliff-hangers. The best mysteries are powerfully written and strongly plotted, featuring fascinating characters and raising crucial questions of justice, modern societal problems and human motivation. Our first book Bootlegger’s Daughter by Margaret Maron is a 1993 Edgar Award winner for best mystery novel. The book is available now and our discussion will be in September. I hope you can join us this fall.

A Note from Laura –  There are many ways to be part of Book TALK.  Read the book first. Read the book later. Just come for the discussion. Whatever works for you. Our discussions are always fascinating.  Please join us.
