Enjoy the delights of December with a library trip. We are going to the Nelson-Atkins Museum then returning through the Plaza to see the lights. At the Nelson we suggest you visit the groundbreaking special exhibition, The Plains Indians: Artists of Earth and Sky. The exhibit opened in April 2014 in Paris, is currently in Kansas City and then travels to the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. Adult tickets to the exhibit are $12.00 and Seniors over 55, $10.00. If you wish to tour the museum’s many other exhibits on your own, admission is free. At 5:30 we’ll gather for Happy Hour in the Bloch Lobby for hor d’oeuvres, which is included in the trip fee. (There is a cash bar also available.) We’ll leave from the library at 2:30 p.m. and will return to the library by 7:30 p.m. Payment is due at the time of registration. Please include your fee for the special exhibit if you plan on attending. The tour size is limited and reservations are required. Tour fee: $20.00.
