Summer Reading Kickoff Parade
May 30 @ 1:30 pm - 4:00 pm
The Basehor Community Library has been encouraging and challenging readers of all ages to join our Summer Reading Program. This year will be no different. During these unprecedented times, we realize that fun, safety, and community are three things we need to consider while kicking off our Summer Reading Program.
So, on May 30th from 1:30pm-4:00pm, the library parking lot will be open exclusively for our Summer Reading Kick-Off Parade! Families can drive through our parking lot to see staff, enjoy social distancing activities (including something involving water balloons and Mr. Patrick) and even receive a packaged snack.
Parades are always made better with signs, costumes, and smiles. So feel free to add to the parade through your car decorations, passengers, and energy. If you wish to get out of your cars for an activity, please wear a face mask that covers your nose and mouth or stay 6 feet away from all persons not living in the same household as you.*
If you are able, please bring a non-perishable food item for donation to BLAS. The Basehor Community Library looks forward to serving the community and assisting our patrons with this year’s Summer Reading!
*Remember we are promoting safety that aligns with the standards of the CDC and the KDHE. If you are feeling ill, please stay home or in your car with the windows rolled up.
