The Future of Water in Kansas: The Kansas Water Vision
Dinner and Discussion
In 2013 Governor Brownback directed his administration to develop the Kansas Water Vision, a 50-year plan for the future of water in Kansas. Water and the Kansas economy are directly linked; without planning and action the amount of available water in the state will not meet our current needs, let alone any growth. Dawn Buehler, Kansas Riverkeeper & Executive Director of the Friends of the Kaw, currently represents our region for the Kansas Water Vision project. The recommendations of this committee will directly impact the watershed and the Kansas River. Dawn will share the work of this committee, their goals and action plans.
Please join us for a fascinating discussion about this invaluable and finite resource. Learn how you can advocate for the Kansas River in the water plan.
Dinner will be begin at 6:30 pm. Dawn will begin her presentation at 7:00 p.m.
Reservations are required.
