WWII Battle of Kasserine Pass: The Influence of Geography, Weather and the “Race to Tunisia” – Tues, Sept. 25, 6:30 pm

Dr. Daniel A. Gilewitch, LTC, Armor, Retired, will offer a geographical perspective on the first encounter between American armored divisions and German panzer division in WWII and the Battle of Kasserine Pass in Central Tunisia in February, 1943. The presentation describes the lead up to OPERATION TORCH (the Allied invasion of Morocco and Algeria) and the “race to Tunisia” that set the stage for the Battle of Kasserine Pass.

Come and enjoy a presentation with plenty of maps (of course!) and pictures. Registration is encouraged.
